CIRCLE PRAYER COUPLE COORDINATOR

The Circle Prayer Couple Coordinator will arrange for prayer couples from their circle for weekend couples/priests.  They will be responsible for ensuring that each prayer couple understands their responsibilities before accepting to be a prayer couple and will assist the prayer couples as needed.  The Circle Prayer Couple Coordinator will also be responsible for securing prayer couples to participate in the Prayer Scroll for the Weekend for the hours delegated to their Circle.

Specific responsibilities of the Circle Prayer Couple Coordinator are:

    Obtain a list from the Area Prayer Couple Coordinator of weekend couple/priest for their Circle 10-14 days prior to the Weekend.

    Arrange for a prayer couple from their Circle for each weekend couple/priest they are assigned.

    Provide the names of the prayer couples assigned to the weekend couples/priests to the Area Prayer Couple Coordinator one week before the Weekend.

    Arrange for Prayer Scroll couples who will pray during the Weekend to cover the scroll time slots that their circle is responsible for.

    Provide the names of the prayer scroll couples to the Prayer Scroll Coordinator at least one week prior to the Weekend.

    Gather the prayer letters from the prayer couples.  Set the deadline for their receipt the Wednesday before the Weekend.

    Monitor receipt of the prayer letters.  Call the prayer couples who have not submitted their letters by the deadline.

    Provide the prayer letters to the Area Prayer Couple Coordinator no later than Thursday before the Weekend or in-person at the Friday night luggage carry.

On an ongoing basis continue to recruit prayer couples and explain fully the responsibilities to all couples who accept being a prayer couple.  Briefly, a prayer couple responsibilities are:

    Compose & write a letter (hand-written preferably) to the Weekend couple telling them of the prayers and sacrifices being offered for them and their weekend.  Submit letter to Circle Prayer Couple Coordinator by deadline.

    Attend Friday night luggage carry, if possible.

    Light & burn a candle for the weekend couple/priest during the Weekend.

    Attend Sunday Sing-Out to meet and greet the weekend couple/priest.

    Attend Rookie Reunion with the weekend couple/priest, if possible.
