COMMUNITY PILLAR COORDINATOR

The Community Pillar Coordinator is responsible for providing ongoing community support for Weekend values and concepts for Sunday night couples.  They are appointed by the Area Coordinators and their primary purpose is to foster participation and ownership in the dream that we can change the world through our community.

Specific responsibilities of the Community Pillar Coordinator are:

    Attend and represent the Community Pillar at Area Board meetings 3 times per year, or as shceduled by the Area Coordinators

    Schedule and chair a Community Pillar meeting (2 or 3 per year)

    Work with other Pillar Coordinators to identify couples who may be called to serve on the Community Pillar

    Assign couples coming off a Weekend who have expressed interest in joining a Bridging Circle

    Assign Bridging Couples to lead Bridging Circles

    Notify Bridging Couples of the couples who will be in their Bridging

    Empower, affirm and delegate to ensure that the following positions are filled and tasks are handled.  Work with couples to iron out difficulties or problems as they occur.

    Encourage all of the above to develop or update written job descriptions and to be looking for and training their own replacement
