FACILITY COUPLE

The Facility Couple is responsible for the site where the weekend will take place.  Some of their responsibilities would include visiting various hotels/motels/retreat centers or other appropriate sites in the area of the weekend, negotiating the support services and contracts with the site, and ensuring an appropriate atmosphere.  They will also interface and coordinate with other community support couples to ensure the facility will be ready.

Specific responsibilities of the Facility Couple are:

    Obtain list of weekend dates from Area Coordinators

    Visit various hotels/motels/retreat centers or any other facilities able to host a weekend

    Determine the capability and desire of a facility to support a weekend

    Negotiate contracts with the facility

    Revisit the facility with actual figures and lock in a contract

    Obtain any special requirements from the Registration Couple

    Revisit the contract and stand by for changes  

    Send a copy of the hotel contract to each of the following:  the Weekend Pillar Coordinator, Area Coordinator, and Hosting Couples

    Attend Weekend Pillar meetings 2-3 times per year, or as scheduled by the Weekend Pillar Coordinators
