WEEKEND SUPPLY/HOSTING COUPLE

 

The Hosting Couple is responsible for the Friday night kickoff on the weekends.  They will ensure that the supplies are delivered, prepare the room assignments, prepare the conference room, greet arriving couples, and generally ensure that the weekend is off to a successful start.  In addition, the Hosting Couple should attend the sing-out after the weekend and assist in the cleaning up process.

 

Specific responsibilities of the Hosting Couple are:

 

Actions prior to the weekend kickoff:

  • Coordinate with the Facility Couple on accommodations

  • Obtain the weekend list from the Registration Couple

  • Maintain proper inventories and restock supplies as needed

  • Arrange for delivery of supplies needed on the  weekend

  • Obtain list of Prayer Couples and prayer letters from the Prayer Couple Coordinators  

  • Prepare meal table teepees with couples names on both sides of teepee

    Actions at the weekend kickoff:

  • Provide the prayer letters and list of Prayer Couples to the Administrative Couple

  • Prepare the conference room, including supply setup

  • Make room assignments

  • Prepare name tags for couples/priests attending Weekend

  • Prepare 3 X 5 cards with couples names

  • Greet arriving couples

  • Insure proper registration of arriving couples

  • Make arrangements with other couples to attend on Friday night to help with greeting couples, carry luggage, and provide help as needed

    Actions at the weekend close:

  • Attend the Sunday night sing out  

  • Provide copies of the song sheet for "There's a New World Somewhere" at the pre sing-out gathering 3:30 at the hotel.
  • Solicit comments on supplies from Teams and/or couples

  • Remove all materials and supplies from the facility

  • Replenish supplies as needed

    Attend Weekend Pillar meetings 2-3 times per year, or as scheduled by the Weekend Pillar Coordinators
