PARISH
CONTACT COUPLE
The
Parish Contact Couple is the vital connection between their circle, the
Recruiting Coordinator and the individual parishes.
They make sure their parish is informed about Marriage Encounter
activities and scheduled weekends. They
ensure that bulletin announcements appear in their parish bulletins and provide
a supply of Marriage Encounter brochures for the parishioners.
They assist the Recruiting Coordinator in setting up pulpit talks at
their parish.
Specific
responsibilities of the Parish Contact Couple are:
Make appointment to visit and notify the parish that you are the new/current
parish contact for Marriage Encounter
Provide
Pastor with Info package on WWME and Inviting Video
Identify
how WWME is already or has helped his parish.
Ask Pastor
what we (WWME) can do to help his parish.
Develop and/or maintain data on the parish, such as:

Mailing
address and phone number(s)

Contact
names, i.e. Pastor, Associate Pastor, Deacon, etc.
-
Mass
schedules
-
Names
of Encountered parishioners
-
Date
of last pulpit talk at your parish.

Have
Pastor, Associate Pastor and Deacons been Encountered?
Report parish data updates to Database Couple
Work closely with the Recruiting Coordinators in developing bulletin
announcements, schedules and blitzes
Ensure bulletin announcements/inserts are put in the bulletins prior to the
scheduled M.E. weekends
Assist with scheduling Pulpit Talks
Ensure that M.E. literature (posters, tear-slips, brochures) is always available
in the church vestibule and/or meeting area(s)
Be active members of local Circle.
Identify Replacement Couple & Review with Circle Contact before end of term.
Mentor/train your replacement.
