WORLD MARRIAGE DAY COORDINATOR

The World Marriage Day Coordinators are responsible for the promotion and celebration of World Marriage Day, occurring on the second Sunday of February each year.  They will work closely with the Section World Marriage Day Coordinator and other members of the Area Board and parish contacts to promote World Marriage Day in the parishes.  They will also strive to obtain the endorsement of the Bishop for diocese-wide celebration.

Specific responsibilities of the World Marriage Day Coordinators are:

    Work closely and coordinate with the Section World Marriage Day Coordinators

    Work closely with other members of the Area Board and Marriage Encounter community to promote World Marriage Day

    Work closely with parish liturgy committees and other representatives from the diocese to promote WMD

    Attempt to obtain the endorsement of the Bishop

    Forward liturgy packets to parishes that celebrate WMD

    Attend Community Pillar meetings 2-3 times per year, or as scheduled by the Community Pillar Coordinators
